Jeremiah 2:22 shows us that Christ choose his best seeds when he planted us, when he picked us from that pit of destruction, he cleansed us with the purest of waters(his blood) and put his seed (the holy spirit) in us , it is expected that we produce good, sweet fruits but rather the Bible asks “how did you grow into this corrupt wild vine “?
Who have you left the cultivation of your vine to? Have you left it to the pressures of life, marriage and health challenges, financial instability, worry and anxiety , hatred and injustice from friends and family? Have you allowed this determine the type of fruits you produce?
Our lives are to produce fruits that will be a blessing to others and draw the unsaved to Christ but rather we have produced hatred, impatience, unforgiveness and deceit, producing torns that affect people around us.
…”But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law.”
God expects our fruit to be nothing short of the fruit of the spirit, fruit that will nourish and not choke, fruit that will bless and not curse.
When we allow the Holy Spirit to cultivate our vine (our lives), only then will we produce the fruit of the spirit.
• Father in any way my life has produced wild fruit please forgive me and show me mercy.
• Take away every attitude in my life that does not give glory to you.
